Chrispy Chickpeas

Ingredients
- 1 can (15 or 16 ounces) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/3 tsp salt
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp chipotle powder or cayenne
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or garlic granules
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- Heat air fryer to 390 F.
- Pat the chickpeas dry with a clean towel (optional).
- Put chickpeas into a large bowl.
- Mix the oil and salt and spices in a small bowl.
- Stir the oil/spice mixture into the large bowl and coat the chickpeas evenly.
- Put the mixture into an airfryer and spread into a single layer
- Cook 15 to 20 minutes. Check frequently. Cook till they are crispy but not burnt.
Notes:
- Feel free to adjust spice quantities to your preference.
- Our oven has an air fryer setting and a large air fryer basket. So, we usually double this recipe. We gobble it down fast.
- If you don't have an air fryer, a convection oven might do just as well. We haven't tried this but we've heard that an air fryer is just basically a convection oven.
- If you don't have a convection oven, a regular oven might do just as well. Again, untested, but I bet it would still taste good.
